  • Dancing with the Local Stars
    Contribution: $500-15,000 | September 11, 2010 - The annual Dancing with the Local Stars event draws over 500 guests to  the Pearson Air Museum.This event highlights community leaders dancing with their professional dance instructors, while celebrity judges entertain the crowd with their critique of these hard working dancers. Come improve your dance style by taking the dance lessons provided by trained professionals.   • Indepence Day at Fort Vancouver

    For 46 years, our community celebrated July 4th at the Fort Vancouver National Site.  In 2009, the cancellation of this event due to limited resources caused a public outcry.  This year the Fort Vancouver National Trust, with support from partners, coprorations and individuals, is working to bring a new July 4th event to our community.

  • Flag Day Ceremony veolia water

    June 14, 2010 - Join us for Celebrate Freedom’s patriotic Flag Day Ceremony held at the Bandstand on the Fort Vancouver National Site's Parade Ground. During this ceremony the community gathers to participate in the Annual National Pause for the Pledge and pay their respect to our country’s national symbol. This youth focused event draws participation from local 5th grade classes, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, school bands, military personnel, elected officials and community members.
  • General George C Marshall Youth Leadership Award

    Contribution: $15,000 | March 17, 2010 - 40-8LOGO.jpgA local high school student living in Clark County will be nominated and selected to receive the General George C. Marshall Youth Leadership Award. General Marshall’s House on Officers Row is the setting for a ceremony where the recipient is recognized and honored for their good works and leadership ability. The youth recipient receives a $2,500 scholarship for the college of their choice, a paid internship in the Celebrate Freedom office and active roles in many Celebrate Freedom programs.
  • General George C Marshall Public Leadership Award: Available
    Contribution: $15,000 | November 3, 2010 - The Marshall Leadership Award selects a Clark County resident, 35 years of age or younger, exhibiting the qualities of leadership, integrity, and honor for which General Marshall stood. The Marshall Leadership Award is a very prestigious distinction for our community’s young leaders. This annual award was instituted in 1989. The recipient receives a scholarship for the Leadership Clark County program and a trip to the Marshall Foundation in Lexington, VA, Washington D.C. and to historic Colonial Williamsburg. Join us for this award ceremony on beautiful Officers Row in the historic Marshall House.
  • The General George C Marshall Lecture: Available
    Contribution: $15,000 | May 20, 2010 - Jonathan B. Jarvis, Director of the National Park Service, will deliver this year's Marshall Lecture at Hudson's Bay High School. The list of previous guest lecturers includes prestigious speakers such as: General Colin Powell, Ambassador Bill Richardson, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Tom Brokaw, Senator Daniel Inouye, The Rt. Honorable Christopher Patten, President and CEO of the American Red Cross Marsha Evans, Lt. General Claude M. Kicklighter and many more. We were honored to have the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace deliver the lecture in February of 2007. In 1998, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright called the Marshall Lecture “one of the most prestigious lecture series in the United States.” This signature Celebrate Freedom event provides an opportunity to witness history in the making as world class speakers deliver relevant remarks on world affairs, with a Marshall influence.

Pearson Air Museum Title Naming Sponsorships

  • Pearson Air Museum - Aviation Summer Camp
    Contribution: $1,000 (2 available) | June & July, 2010, Dates TBD - Now in its sixth year, Pearson Air Museum’s Aviation Summer Camp offers three separate one week day camps that take the summer to new heights! Designed for youth ages 10-16, camp activities include lunch and snacks for the week, use of state of the art flight simulators, model building, hot air balloons, field trips to the Oregon Air Guard base and Horizon Airlines, and plane rides where the students actually fly the aircraft!
  • Pearson Air Museum - Open Cockpit Day
    Contribution: $1,000 (2 available) | May 29, 2010 - Every child at one time or other dreams of being a pilot! At this one day event, you can turn those dreams into reality! The barriers around the Pearson Air Museum aircraft come down and visitors actually climb into the cockpits of World War II and later era aircraft. Bring the kids for free flights in airplanes piloted by the Hillsboro EAA Club. Last year’s event was so popular that the public lined up outside the doors to the museum one hour prior to opening.
  • Christmas at Pearson Air Museum
    Contribution: $3,000 | December 11, 2010 -Bring your cameras and take a picture of your child with Santa Claus in the cockpit of a vintage 1941 Ryan PT21. Visitors post letters to Santa at the North Pole mailbox. Event will feature complimentary hot cocoa and cookies for the kids plus souvenir ornaments for each family. Occurs simultaneously with the popular Christmas at the Fort. This is sure to be a day of special holiday memories the entire family will long cherish.
